The use of this site is governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use set forth below and elsewhere on the site as indicated. By using this site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use.
Otica Iberica® is an online store selling replacement contact lenses at significant discounts to the traditional way of buying your contact lenses from your regular Optician.
You confirm that you will only place orders for contact lenses that have been prescribed by a contact lens specialist (ophthalmologist or optician), and that your contact lens prescription is still valid.
By your order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and undergo regular checks by your contact lens specialists (at the interval recommended by your contact lens specialists).
Privacy.
We protect your privacy and your data will not be given to any third party.
Payment.
When making an order in our web shop, you can select one of the following payment methods:
- - Bank transfer
- - Visa / Mastercard (Credit cards only. Not Debet cards)
- - Skrill (Credit and Debit cards. Plus local payment methods, depending on your country). Skrill is not available for UK and USA.
- - Multibanco (for Portuguese clients)
- - MB Way (for Portuguese clients)
- - MeoWallet (for Portuguese clients)
- - Payment at delivery (available for deliveries to Portugal)
The total price you pay is the price of the products + freight.
All payments are in EURO.
If you pay by credit or debit card, the money will be debited immediately at the time of payment.
Prices and VAT.
All prices are marked in euros and include Portuguese VAT (sales tax) of 6,0% (contact lenses with graduation/power) or 23% (all other products).
The final VAT will be calculated during payment according to the VAT rate used in the EU destination country.
VAT is automatically deducted from your order if the delivery address is a non-EU country.
Deviations or agreed additional services of the shipping costs are possible in the individual case, depending on the product and the delivery area.
Prices shall be subject to alteration without notice.
We inform in our online web shop, in a transparent way, about the total price of each product or service, including taxes and fees, additional transport charges, postal or delivery charges or any other charges that may apply.
We cannot be held responsible in the event of computer or software errors, human errors, technical errors, or due to other errors, which causes a substantial and not foreseen change in the sale price to the public in the web shop, so in such cases where the price is too low or too high, the purchase order will be considered invalid and canceled and the Customer will be informed of this fact, in which case the payment will also be returned to the customer.
Shipping & Delivery Times.
We ship worldwide.
1. Standard products: The majority of daily, 1-2 week and monthly lenses:
The majority of the orders are shipped between 1-3 days.
2. Special lenses: Lenses in "+" Powers, Toric lenses, multifocal lenses, colored lenses, hard/RGP lenses, annual lenses, "fun" lenses and any product that is a made-to-order product:
These products are always ordered directly from the manufacturer.
In general, the delivery time of standard lenses from the manufacturer to us is usually only 1-2 days. Delivery time for other lenses depends on the lens type/model (variable).
Delivery time is the estimated time from we send the lenses and until you should receive them.

Total time (the time from you order and until you receive the products) is dependent on the availability of the item/s in your order. A total delivery date can in principle not be guaranteed, since we have no influence on delays in delivery by the manufacturer and/or the shipping partners or force majeure.
Delivery Costs and Further Delivery Time Information
Our shipping prices are automatically calculated based on transport company transport method, destination country and the weight of the products ordered.
The total shipping/delivery costs can be calculated/shown in the Shopping Cart, and are also shown in the checkout.
Note, mainly for non-EU countries: To avoid unexpected customs fees or duties, check with the customs department in your country about its importation policies.
We are NOT responsible for any sales taxes, customs duties or other taxes charged by your country.
Product warranty.
We give you a three-year product warranty on all products. The product warranty covers manufacturing defects and does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, external damage, or due to incorrect use.
Return policy.
1. Standard contact lenses can be returned to us, or exchanged.
You must contact us first, to receive a return-number and fill out the return form (Available here). Without this return-number and the completed form, we will not accept your return. Just send the lenses to us
- unopened (unopened containers / boxes or packaging)
- in the original packaging, and suitable for re-sale again
- with the return-number you have received from us
- with a copy of the order or invoice
- with the completed form indicating the reason for the return
- within 14 days after reception of the lenses
and we will exchange your lenses or refund your money within 2 days after reception of the returned goods. Refunds will be made by re-crediting the payment card account from which the money was originally debited, or by transfer to your bank account if you paid by bank transfer.
Note:
Disposable lenses in soft secondary packaging - so-called blisters, can not be returned, since these are not suitable for resale.
You are responsible for the shipping and shipping costs to us. Please keep a "proof of postage" when returning goods.
2. Non-standard (custom / "Made-to-order") contact lenses - - cannot be exchanged, returned or canselled.
3. Defective lenses (manufacturing defects)
Defective lenses can be exchanged for the same product if the manufacturer confirms the manufacturing defect. Just send the defective lens to us + the original packaging within the warranty period.
Please include your name, order number, a copy of the invoice and the reason for the return.
When the lens manufacturer agrees that the lens is defective due to a manufacturing defect, a replacement lens will be sent to you at no cost.
We cannot issue refunds for defective items.
You are responsible for the shipping and shipping costs to us. Please keep a "proof of postage" when returning goods.
No Professional Advice
Any information supplied through this website or by any of our employees or agents, whether by telephone, e-mail, letter, facsimile or other form of communication, is for informational purposes or general guidance and does not constitute medical or other professional advice.
Liability and Claims for Damages
The customer shall indemnify us against any liability for health damage that was possibly caused by wearing the contact lenses or by using care products, cosmetics and accessories. The customer affirms that it will only place orders for contact lenses that have been fitted properly by a contact lens specialist (ophthalmologist or optician) and well tolerated without exception. Claims for damage that can be caused by an improper own fitting shall not be asserted. Furthermore, regular checks by a contact lens specialist shall be taken for granted.
Claims for damages shall be restricted to the amount of the order value.

You are absolutely prohibited from reselling in any manner any products you purchase from us, whether you purchased the products through the website or by any other means. We reserve the right to refuse to sell products to you if it reasonably appears to us that you intend to resell the products. In addition, we reserve the right to limit quantities of items purchased by each customer.
Product Illustrations / FAQ / Product Information.
Product illustrations may deviate from the appearance of the delivered products in the individual case. The product information are mainly details given by the manufacturer. We assume no liability for the information made available. Mistakes and printing errors reserved.

Otica Iberica®, as well as other names, button icons, text, graphics, logos, images, designs, titles, words or phrases, audio clips, page headers and service names used on this web site are the trademarks, service marks, trade names or other protected intellectual property of Otica Iberica, or it's owner. They may not be used in connection with any third party products or services. All other brands and names are the property of their owners.
Applicable Law
We control the Site from our offices within Portugal (EU). We make no representation that the Content in the Site is appropriate or available for use in other locations, and access to them from territories where their content is illegal is prohibited. Those who choose to access the Site from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
